Experience behind
Founded in 2009 by Dane Charlesworth, DC Fishing is a family-owned Cape Town seafood business. Its story began on the harbour, long before the company had a name.
Dane grew up around fishing through time spent with his grandfather. That early connection gave him respect for the ocean, the people who work with it, and the detail behind each catch.
At 18, he was loading and offloading fish from boats to trucks and customers. It was practical work that taught him how quickly the seafood trade moves and how much the details matter.
What started at the harbour has grown into a seafood supply business serving wholesalers, distributors, fish shops, food service suppliers, processors, and international trade buyers.
Over the years, DC Fishing has built relationships across the seafood supply chain, working with fishing vessels, processors, cold storage facilities, logistics providers, and trade partners to support a reliable seafood supply.
Today, the business remains focused on quality South African seafood, dependable service, clear communication, and relationships that matter. Dane stays closely involved in daily decisions that help keep supply moving and buyers informed.
Meet the crew
Every order depends on each person doing their part properly, so buyers can trust the result.
At DC Fishing, our team works across operations, accounts, logistics, and delivery to keep each order on track and support a smooth buyer experience.
Some details happen behind the scenes. Others happen on the road. All keep buyers updated.
Together, the team helps protect the product, keep the process clear, and give buyers confidence in how each order is handled and delivered.
